What is Shark Clarity 2 designed to do?
Clarity 2 reveals definition, separation and openness already present in the recording. It brings important detail forward without making the source brittle, thin or artificially bright.
How is Clarity 2 different from a conventional EQ or exciter?
A conventional EQ applies a fixed tonal curve, while an exciter typically creates additional harmonics. Clarity 2 uses adaptive processing that responds to the source as it plays. Clear, Tame, Polish and Air shape different aspects of perceived detail while helping the result remain musical.
What do Clear, Tame, Polish and Air control?
Clear improves definition and brings important information forward. Tame controls harder edges and reduces fatigue. Polish adds refinement and cohesion to the upper spectrum. Air opens the highest frequencies, creating extension and space around the sound.
Can I use Clarity 2 on a complete mix or master?
Yes. Clarity 2 can provide subtle finishing on a mix bus or master, but it can also be used more boldly on vocals, guitars, keyboards, drums and samples. Mix, mid-side processing, quality options and Gain Match support careful mastering decisions as well as creative production work.
Will Clarity 2 make my music harsh or excessively bright?
Clarity 2 was specifically designed to avoid that problem. Tame helps control aggressive edges as detail increases, while the adaptive processing follows the material instead of applying one constant boost. The best results usually come from making small adjustments while listening at a matched level.
Can I try Clarity 2 before purchasing?
Yes. A free trial will be available when the official macOS and Windows installers are released. Clarity 2 is planned in Audio Unit and VST3 formats, allowing you to test it directly inside your own sessions before buying.
